Resource Development Group is a proud Platinum Sponsor of IEDC’s 2006 Annual Conference.  To commemorate our participation, RDG will be raffling off 2 tickets to see this year’s number one college football team, The Ohio State Buckeyes, play the Indiana Hoosiers on October 21 in Columbus, Ohio.  Round trip airfare for two and hotel accommodations are included.
 

If you have never witnessed a Big 10 football game you are in for a treat!  Over 100,000 rabid Buckeye fans will be rooting for the nations top college football team and the revelry, pomp and circumstance are second to none.  If you have been to Columbus before on a beautiful autumn Saturday when the Buckeyes are in town, well, you know what’s in store!  


Raffle tickets will be $10 each with no limit on the number you can purchase.  All proceeds will go to the IEDC Diane Lupke Scholarship Fund.  More about the Diane Lupke Scholarship Fund can be found in the article that follows.


Come by booth 17 anytime Sunday, Monday or Tuesday to purchase your raffle tickets.  The Ticket drawing will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the RDG booth.

Diane Lupke, CEcD, is the President of Lupke & Associates and a long-time member of IEDC. Lupke and Associates has worked in more than 75 communities to empower residents to recognize their assets and create change in their communities. At IEDC, Ms. Lupke serves on the Board of Directors, the Policy and Issues Committee, and the International Committee.

A strong advocate for economic development initiatives in distressed communities, Ms. Lupke founded an education scholarship fund for economic development professionals working in these areas. The award recipient is able to enhance his or her knowledge in economic development through participation in IEDC?s Economic Development Training Courses.

Since its inception, the scholarship fund has received numerous donations from private donors. IEDC hopes to expand the fund in an effort to increase the number of economic developers that participate in the program.
