Enterprise Flagler,
Flagler County,
Florida’s
primary business development and
marketing arm, hosted its annual
Installation Dinner Thursday
evening. During the event,
Art Barr, Enterprise Flagler’s
outgoing board President, announced
that the economic development
entity has obtained commitments totaling
$1,170,335 from the private
sector for its 2007-2011 budget cycle. This
amount exceeds its minimum 5-
year funding goal of $1 million.
“The
response from the business community has been
tremendous,” said Tom
Cooley, Executive Director of
Enterprise Flagler. “I thank our terrific
campaign leadership and Resource
Development Group for their
efforts.”
The
purpose of the campaign was to increase private
sector investment in
Enterprise Flagler. This new
funding, combined with existing public
sector dollars, will allow Enterprise
Flagler to increase its marketing
budget, expand on its existing
business retention and expansion program,
and more effectively capitalize on
its partnership with the Cornerstone
regional economic development
effort, which is managed by the
Jacksonville Regional Chamber of
Commerce, another RDG client.
